With all of the soccer fever coming due to the World Cup this week, Angry Birds is launching a fun new series on is hitting the soccer field with the launch of an exclusive new series on YouTube and the YouTube Kids app called Angry Birds: BirLd Cup (Rovio Entertainment). The new show is currently available on YouTube Kids, and is a a mix of live action and animation starring the iconic Angry Birds characters alongside some top soccer players from all over the globe, including Everton Football Club’s Wayne Rooney, Tom Davies and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, alongside Turkish international sensation Cenk Tosun.
As the world’s greatest soccer players assemble in Russia, the Angry Birds are hosting a competition called the Angry Birds: BirLd Cup, where teams of kids are joined by the soccer players for a bunch of soccer challenges. Follow your favorite favorite team and learn some new soccer tricks in the process of watching all the fun videos. You can find the trailer here and there will be new episodes every Wednesday and Saturday through July 13th.
We have watched the first episode and it really is a fun mix of live action and animation that is family friendly with all sorts of fun things being done by the soccer players, kids and Angry Birds.
The YouTube Kids app is the first Google product built from the ground up with kids in mind. The app makes it easier for children to find videos on topics they want to explore and is available for free on Google Play and the App store. YouTube Kids continues to put parents in the driver’s seat with additional parental controls that allow parents to choose what is right for their family.
