Nickelodeon Pony Animated Series Hit Or Miss?

Nickelodeon Pony

Pony, by Ant Blades, is the first animated comedy series that has been greenlit for the U.S. audience from Nickelodeon International and is based on an animated short from 2015 International Animated Shorts Program.

Nickelodeon today announced a 20-episode order for Pony, an original 2D-animated buddy comedy that follows the life of an average girl, Annie, her (almost) average family and what happens when an excitable, unpredictable, loveable and talking pony comes to live with them in their city apartment.

Based on the info that we have, Pony will follow the 9-year-old Annie’s everyday life, but that life if far from ordinary. Her parents have a city farm which is located on their apartment balcony and having a talking pony is going to create some interesting situations. It seems like Pony will be Annie’s best friend and will also encourage her to try new things and that will lead them both into some fun and sticky situations. The question that we always have for something like this…are we in a world where all animals can talk or is Pony someone special? We kind of hope that Pony is a one of a kind animal in this universe.

We love the story, its originality of having the city farm, with the tried and true talking animal makes us feel very comfortable saying Pony on Nickelodeon is going to be a hit. We look forward to seeing how this city farm works and what sort of fun they get into.

Have three kids, two boys (18 and 16) and a girl (12). I had a grandfather that watched cartoons and read the Sunday funnies until he passed. I feel the same way and continue to watch the Disney channel in my 40s. Check out our BSCKids youtube channel Current favorite show is Amphibia.
