In a special interview with Jenny Slate, who will be playing Nanny in Disney Muppet Babies, we get a very short glimpse of something special. Before we get to that though let’s talk about Jenny Slate in her role of Nanny. From the interview we learn that Jenny was a life long Muppet Babies fan and that always bodes well for someone working on the show. She watched the original show as a kid and was familiar with the characters. She sees Nanny as very accepting of each one of the Muppet Babies and lets them be themselves.
Tom Warburton, the Executive Producer, has great things to say about Jenny and he just loves her unique voice for the role.
In the first second of the video, take a look at the picture on the wall. We get to see a picture of Skeeter and we hope that means we will get to see Skeeter on the show. Skeeter in on one half of the seesaw and we do not get to see who is on the other side, but our guess would be it would be Scooter. Hopefully this all points to seeing all of the original Muppet Babies on the show as well as the new character Summer. That is one of our favorite things about the original show, the amount of characters and all of their fun interactions. The other thing that we have not seen a huge amount of that the original show had been the live action scenes where the muppets interact with the video. Our favorite was probably the Raiders of the Lost Muppet episode where they have the Indiana Jones scenes.
Take a look at the video below and wait with the rest of us to see how great the Disney Muppet Babies show will be.
