ELENA

A new Elena of Avalor episode is coming this Saturday to the Disney Channel in the morning, and we are excited to see some new episodes. Following the special themed Halloween month, this is going to be a special Día de los Muertos-themed episode as this is a holiday that related a bit to Halloween.

ELENA OF AVALOR – “Jewel of Maru” – A special Dia de los Muertos-themed episode launches the second season of the Imagen Award-winning animated series “Elena of Avalor,” SATURDAY, OCTOBER 14, on Disney Channel (9:00 a.m. EDT) and Disney Junior (11:30 a.m. EDT).

This episode will launch the second season of Elena of Avalor and from what we can tell from the picture, Elena will be thinking about her family members. The Day of the Dead is a holiday where you remember your family and friends that have died. This is actually a great way to get kids introduced to this holiday before they go and see the upcoming Coco Pixar film that will be in theaters in November.

Both Elena of Avalor and Coco look to put a fun spin on a holiday that is all about remembering your departed ones. Tune in to Elena of Avalor “Jewel of Maru” to see how Elena celebrates this holiday and how Elena meets a Maruvian ghost, Amaláy, on Día de los Muertos. The ghost stands watch over the powerful Jewel of Maru, which may be dangerous as well. This is the second episode of Elena to focus on this holiday and we look forward to seeing the start of another great season of the show.

Have three kids, two boys (18 and 16) and a girl (12). I had a grandfather that watched cartoons and read the Sunday funnies until he passed. I feel the same way and continue to watch the Disney channel in my 40s. Check out our BSCKids youtube channel Current favorite show is Amphibia.
