DUCKTALES – “Terror of the Terra-firmians!”

DUCKTALES – “Terror of the Terra-firmians!” is scheduled as a Halloween Episode for Disney, but based on what we know of the original Terra-Firmians from the O.G. DuckTales Cartoon. This time around though, it seems the tunnel to get to the Terra-Firmians is a bit more eerie and scary which is probably why this episode is slated to appear this month. The question we have is was this written to fit the Halloween mold or is it just being pushed that way? The title with the word Terror in it maybe means it will be a bit scarier than the original series.

All that being said this time around, Huey and Webby have a disagreement over the existence of the Terra-Firmians, we wonder if it is based on earthquakes or just a general discussion. There is a rumor that they find out about them in a newspaper article about sighting of the creatures. The money bin gets involved in the original cartoon, so it will be cool to see how this story plays out this time around.

DUCKTALES – “Terror of the Terra-firmians!” – Huey and Webby’s disagreement over the existence of a mythic species leads the kids to explore an eerie abandoned subway tunnel, while Mrs. Beakley grows suspicious of Lena. This episode of “Ducktales” airs Saturday, October 7 (8:00 Ð 8:30 A.M. EDT) on Disney XD.

Mrs. Beakley, who we really don’t know a lot about just yet, is getting suspicious of Lena, who we all know to be Magica De Spell’s niece now. We think it is a dead giveaway that someone like Lena at her age would want to hang out with someone as young as Webby, but we are only the audience. It will be a few episodes before we really see what Lena and her aunt have up their sleeve, but we hope that Magica De Spell and Lena are going to be characters that stick around. Will Lena become a regular character if she does turn good, which is what we think will happen, or will Lena go away and Magica be someone who crops up from time to time to try to steal Scrooge’s dime?

Hopefully this episode we get to see Scrooge, Launchpad and the rest of the adventuring characters as it seems like the tunnel to the Terra-firmians will be a grand adventure.

DuckTales is probably the only show right now that makes me want to wake up early on Saturdays so stay tuned for our thoughts tomorrow on the episode.
