We get a great look at the new version of Gyro Gearloose in this new DuckTales Clip – The Great Dime Chase! and it makes us super excited. This younger version, (from the original series) or at least a less disheveled version of Scrooge’s head of research and development meets with the vultures of business. He does seem quite arrogant though as he says, “now try to keep up with my mind numbing genius” as he addresses the business birds in the room. Uncle Scrooge brings him back to earth though and asks him to read from the cards.
Gyro introduces us to Lil Bulb, the tiny all-purpose robot, and Louie loses his mind as I am sure he could come up with a million ways to use the robot. The robot is an artificially intelligent robot helper and we see him make toast among other things. As you can tell, Lil Bulb is going to be part of this story and it should be interesting to see how he plays his part in The Great Dime Chase!
Totally not sold on this version of Gyro though, he seems far more arrogant and selfish than the original version. The thing is since Fenton seems to be Gyro’s intern the personally that the original cartoon Gyro had, will probably be placed a bit in the Fenton Crackshell character. It also makes sense now who we will be getting introduced to the new version of Gizmoduck as well. We have to see how it plays out before we can make a final determination.
