DuckTales has teased us with the first long (shall we really say two) episodes that we saw a few weeks ago as we wait for the official debut of two new episodes on Saturday, September 23rd on Disney XD, Disney XD app and Disney XD VOD. So what we get is a video of Webby and Huey, Dewey, and Louie riding the bus and meeting some interesting characters. They make a bit of a game about it on the post by asking us to remember things about each of the characters that they meet on the bus.
What we see is Webby being super excited to ride the bus for the first time and we are introduced to two characters. The rough-looking character does not seem to be all that interested in Webby, but what I find interesting is that the second character reading the book is someone who we have seen before in the first episode where Donald is applying for a job, she is sitting next to him with her resume. Does that mean she is going to be a reoccurring character, and if so who is she? These little taste of some new clips is helpful is satisfying our need for more DuckTales.
The next two episodes are “Daytrip of Doom!” and “The Great Dime Chase!” and we have seen clips now of each one of them it seems. The clip we have here looks like it is part of “Daytrip of Doom!” and it will be interesting to see what trouble they get into on the bus. This episode is going to help set the tone of the series we believe, because if all we have is the kids riding the bus and interacting with the passengers with no overall story but a bunch of gags, it does not bode all that well for the series.
It seems we have also seen a clip of “The Great Dime Chase!” as well when we were introduced to Scrooge’s Number One Dime a few days ago. We will be getting to see a bit of Uncle Scrooge’s history and this may be another episode where we don’t have an adventure in the here and now. We will have our thoughts once both episodes air.

It looks like we will be seeing an episode called “The Beagle Birthday Massacre!” at some point in the season (probably after these two episodes the next week) and it should be our introduction to the Beagle Boy crew and hopefully Ma Beagle as well.
