Disney Junior has released a preview clip of The Lion Guard – The Rise of Scar as well as an interview with David Oyelowo who plays the voice of Scar in the episode. What is also great we a Landry Bender guest appearance as well. It has been a while since we have seen her on a Disney Channel and this is exciting to see her name out there again on Disney Junior.
After using the Roar of the Elders in anger, Kion unwittingly summons the Pride Lands’ greatest villain, Scar.
In this clip, Kion is introduced to Makini, voiced by Landry Bender, who is Rafiki’s apprentice, and full of energy. Ushari is also in this episode and is voiced by Christian Slater. This is a big episode for The Lion Guard, and bringing Scar back (in any way) gives it a great movie tie and hopefully bringing some more fans of the movies to the television show. We are all looking forward to watching Scar “return.”

David is a great voice of Scar and he even gets to sing, which we see a bit in the interview. This is a great way to bring back the classic villain and have The Lion Guard face a formidable foe. This is going to be an exciting episode and make sure you tune in this Saturday.
