Raven’s Home is coming soon to Disney Channel and while all the hype has been for Descendants 2, this is going to be an exciting new show with characters many of us already know and love. Raven is a single mother with two children, Booker and Nia, moving back into her old house in San Francisco. Chelsea, Raven’s best friend, is also moving in with her son Jason and there is going to be more than one psychic in the house.

Raven’s son Booker is also a psychic and on top of finding that out he will be starting middle school, which is always a hectic time. It is also nice that we see two divorced mothers making it work with their kids and Raven Symoné looks to be just as funny as the original. Issac Brown who has made us laugh as the young version of Dre on Black-ish will be getting the role of Booker. I think it will be nice to see Anneliese van der Pol as she was great as Chelsea on the original. Looking forward to see how this works, but with two psychics it could be really fun or really confusing.

Starring Raven Symoné (Raven Baxter), Anneliese van der Pol (Chelsea Daniels), Issac Brown (Booker), Navia Robinson (Nia), Jason Maybaum (Levi) and Sky Katz (Tess.)

Take a look at the video below and then make sure to tune into the first episode of Raven’s Home after Descendants 2 on July 21st. I am not sure if having it after Descendants is a good or a bad thing, as I think everyone is going to be very interested in talking about the movie that they just saw. We are looking forward to seeing Skylar Katz playing her role as Tess, Nia’s best friend and hope for big things from her on the show.

Have three kids, two boys (18 and 16) and a girl (12). I had a grandfather that watched cartoons and read the Sunday funnies until he passed. I feel the same way and continue to watch the Disney channel in my 40s. Check out our BSCKids youtube channel Current favorite show is Amphibia.
