Disney Channel Zombies

Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM) Zombies is already has released a trailer and the timing is perfect with Descendants 2 having just premiered. As we wait to see if there will be a Descendants 3, we have Disney Z-O-M-B-I-E-S coming to the Disney Channel in 2018.

Disney has just released a video for the new upcoming Disney Zombies movie and you can check it out below. Meg Donnelly (from American Housewife) will play cheerleader Addison, while Milo Manheim (from Ghost Whisperer) will portray transfer student from Zombietown, who is also a football start. The classic cheerleader and football star getting together, even though they come from different backgrounds, will be the storyline. The overall plot has us following the students of Seabrook High School, which is set in an uninspired sleepy suburban town, as they deal with the integration of transfer students from Zombietown.

The musical is going to be directed by Jeffrey Hornaday with both Christopher Scott and Hornaday doing the choreography for the movie (they both worked on Teen Beach Movie.) IMDB also has the full list of cast now up with Kylee Russell playing Eliza, Trevor Tordjman as Bucky, Emilia McCarthy as Lacey, Kingston Foster as Zoey among others. All up and coming stars that may break out after the Disney publicity machine gets their careers going.

Watch the video below of that gives us a taste of what we can expect from the Disney Channel Zombies movie.

The trailer introduces us to Zed as well as showing us a clip of one of the dance scenes. The question we have is, are Zombies even a thing anymore? We do know they used to be hot, but has the shine worn off the undead in terms of live action movies? Disney needed something to follow Descendants 2 and it seems that Zombies is what they chose for the next big thing. The one great thing is that we just love Meg Donnelly as Taylor on American Housewife and hope that this is something really gets her movie career going.
