This year’s WonderCon has a treat for fans that are also artists! Executive producers Marc Guggenheim, Rodrigo Blaas and Chad Hammes and co-executive producers Dan and Kevin Hageman announced the first-ever Trollhunters Fan Art Contest with a special taped message from series creator and executive producer Guillermo del Toro.
del Toro announced the contest after being inspired by all the incredible fan art the crew has been seeing online after the new series debuted. To honor the fan art, Guillermo and the team have devised a contest in which fans can now officially submit their best original artwork to be included in a future episode of the series!
The theme of the contest is “Great Trollhunters of the Past.” Fans can submit their original artwork of a Trollhunter from days long ago to Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #TrollhuntersFanArtContest and three lucky winners will be chosen by Guillermo and his fellow executive producers. The contest runs now until June 23, 2017.
During the panel, Marc Guggenheim even joked that co-executive producer Dan Hageman would get a tattoo featuring one of the lucky winners’ art!
The second season of Trollhunters will arrive later this year with a 13 episode run, exclusively on Netflix. With two Daytime Emmy wins and seven nominations, you won’t want to miss season two!
