Remy and Boo Sprout

Sprout has released a bunch of information about upcoming shows and one of the shows that will debut on Sprout in 2018 is going to be Remy and Boo. The show will be set in the near future and will be about friends Remy (a five year old girl) and her robot friend Boo. Boo is not an ordinary robot like we think of, in this future, Boo is programmed to learn and feel real emotion. Boo will truly be a real friend to Remy and the show is going to give us some insight on what it means to be human. It sounds like there is going to be this overall theme of what makes someone human and can a robot that feels emotions be considered “human” or only a robot.

Slated to debut on Sprout in 2018, Remy and Boo continues to build upon the network’s portfolio of high quality original content for families. Set in the near future, this CG-animated series tells the story of the friendship between five year old Remy and her newfound robot friend Boo, who is programmed to learn and feel real emotions. The show follows their journey of love, friendship, and what it truly means to be human. The series was created by Matt Fernandes of Industrial Brothers and will be produced by Industrial Brothers and Boat Rocker Studios.

The core of the story is going to be about love and this is going to be a great lesson for kids to learn. It does not matter the age, race, religion friends and friends and love is at the center of that friendship. A robot with emotions is like a clean slate and how they interact with other people is going to be interesting to see. Overall a great concept for a show and I like the CGI look of the characters that we are able to see from the released photo.

Have three kids, two boys (18 and 16) and a girl (12). I had a grandfather that watched cartoons and read the Sunday funnies until he passed. I feel the same way and continue to watch the Disney channel in my 40s. Check out our BSCKids youtube channel Current favorite show is Amphibia.
