Spring’s In The Air – What Fun Can You Have?

Spring’s In The Air – What Fun Can You Have?

Spring

It’s finally March and you know what that means right? It means that spring is officially around the corner and I’m way excited for it! Spring happens to be one of my two favorite seasons of the year (Fall is the other) and will continue to be my number one season all year long. Some may ask why, but truth is, there’s just way too answers for this simple inquiry.

For me, spring happens to be the most beautiful season I have ever experienced. It’s pretty much a season where things can begin fresh after a crazy winter. The second it arrives you notice all the little things of change like how the trees are growing their leaves, the several variety of flowers blossoming, the cloudless sky with daily endless sunshine and more. And you know it’s spring when everyone changes out those bulky sweaters and snow boots for a t-shirt and sandals.

Of course, spring not only allows things to change or begin fresh, but it’s also a great time to be a to begin planning all those things you’ve been wanting to do since winter will come to a close. I know plenty of people who are already in the final planning stages of what to do during Spring Break or the Easter holiday. However, nobody should ever focus on just those times during this time of year. You should enjoy this warmed up season how ever you can.

I know I’m always on the verge of making sure spring is either a relaxing time or fun time for myself and/or my family and friends. But a question sometimes remains on a person’s mind: What should, or could, I do once spring hits? Is this a problem for you as well? Well, no worries. I’m more than happy to share out my ideas, plans and projects with you. It can give you an idea on what you can do to relax, have fun or simply enjoy the day. Check it all out below:

Vacation

Lots of people plan ahead or last minute vacations around the holidays and Spring Break. These are times where you can gather up for your family, or even friends, and head somewhere you’ve never been such as the beach, an amusement park or a relative. When planning your vacation or short trip, just remember the location, pack all the necessities you will need and hit the road.

Pool

Public pools don’t usually open until summertime, but you might get lucky when it’s a pretty warm day and you wish to take a dip. Other times you might have your own pool or a friend invites you over for some splashing fun. Take that opportunity! Swimming is a great way to exercise, enjoy time with friends/family and keep cool all at the same time. Or if none of this is possible, take my first plan and head to the beach nearby!

Gardening

Do you have a green thumb? Well, even if you don’t try out some gardening. You never know, you might have some fun planting some new flowers, trees or even some herbs, fruits and vegetables. And when the time comes where it’s ripe, you’ll be able to admire the beauty you helped grow.

Hike/Nature

Take a hike! No, I’m not being mean, just literal. Get out of the house and take a real hike. Most communities have hiking trails, biking trails or even just paths to walk. Nature can be a great relaxer for when you’re stressed or just need fresh air. Not to mention it’s a great help in exercising when walking or biking. Staying healthy is a good idea, right?

Crafts

Don’t feel like getting out of the house just yet but still want a bit of springtime action? Just grab some crafty art supplies and get creative. Make crafts or projects that celebrate spring or one of the holidays. If you wish to be really artsy, why not let nature help you out? Go outside and grab some twigs, leaves, flowers, grass or whatever else you can (no bugs or snakes though. They might not like being a part of your project).

Hang Out/Picnic

Find time to hang out with friends or even family. You can go out shopping, see a movie, go for a walk or something else. If you want a change of pace, why not enjoy a nice picnic? Pack up all those delicious foods and drinks you each love (perhaps some hot dogs and hamburgers if there’s a grill) and get those bellies full. Nothing says “Time together” like a picnic!

Sports

Spring is the season where sports can begin. Join a school sport club or team. Sometimes communities have local programs where you can sign up for baseball, softball, football or even soccer. You can even have fun without the programs with your friends. Mine like to play basketball around the house and sometimes ball hockey in the street. (Of course they make sure no cars around)

Outdoors

Outdoors pretty much sums up things for spring. You can do so much outdoors like I said previous like vacationing, picnics or hiking. But you can also do those fun little things like sidewalk chalking, flying a kite, fishing, blowing bubbles, jumping in rain puddles and so much more.

If there’s other activities you do in the spring, share them with us!
