The long warm days of summer are long behind us and now we in the heart of the fall season, and you know what that means, right? Halloween. The time of year where you snuggle into a warm blanket on the couch and allow yourself to be scared to your wits end with an array of horror flicks and picking out that perfect costume for a night filled with trick of treats or something of the sorts.
Halloween is always an interesting time of the year that always shakes up the normal, no matter how you celebrate.
One form of celebration is adding a haunting ghoulish side to things, and the imaginative people over at Pixelberry Studios have done just that my hosting a month long event in one of their most popular game, High School Story, with the freakiest ghouls in school- Monster High.
Monster High, as many of you probably are familiar with, is one of the biggest lines from the toy company known as Mattel. With a platform ranging from books, webisodes to movies chronicles the lives and adventures of the various children of famous (or infamous) monsters that we all know. Over the past five years Monster High have taken fans along for some freaky fab adventures from the coble stone streets of Scaris, Boo York and naturally the haunted hallways of Monster High as they deal with conflicts that link back into everyday life and encourage everyone to just be themselves and accept themselves. Freaky flaws and all.
Even though a good percentage of Monster High’s fans are towards the younger side, there also are a gracious amount of fans in their teen years and even adulthood that have become entranced by the likes of Frankie, Draculaura, Clawdeen, Cloe, Lagoona and company. Not that anyone can blame them.
Even with that as common knowledge, news of this new collaboration with the hit app High School Story was surprising- but delightfully so.
Even though life at Monster High is freaky fab, sometimes actual high school can go off course and not end up quite how you might image it to be. But with High School Story you decide everything and live out your high school dream with your other classmates. From recruiting new students, throwing parties, having characters go on dates to build relationships, and taking on quests to advance the story. High School Story offers a true, digital slice-of-life goodness on your device of choice.
But as a note, sometimes the quests that you take on can go into a more mature teenage route and there are quite a few in app purchases options to also be mindful of. Even though most of the content is free, there are some quests, items, and even classmates that require you to use real money to obtain.
Nevertheless, it is fun. And you know, addicting.
Besides having a fun app, High School Story deserves major appreciation for their work with The Cybersmile Foundation, a non-profit organization that focuses on cyberbullying in terms of awareness and help for any dealing with instances.
Despite being around for only two years, High School Story has worked towards making a good impact on their fans with the collaboration with Cybersmile and even the likes of One Direction and Lea Michele. So having Monster High tag team for a month long special event is another exciting addition.
Be sure to head over to your app store and download High School Story for yourself and create your own high school story along with the ghouls of Monster High!
