Watch Amanda Markley’s Music Video for “Jealousy”

Amanda Markley, the Seattle-based pop singer and songwriter, has officially released her newest music video for the single “Jealousy” through PopWrapped! “Jealousy” is the first single from Amanda’s forthcoming EP, which she is currently finishing in the studio with producer Chase Manhattan.

The video for the single tells the story of how it feels when you see a former love move on. Markley said,

“Jealousy is about allowing yourself to feel strong emotions. Everyone goes through heartbreak at times, and it’s okay to let go and feel angry or jealous. This song is about that feeling when someone you’ve loved moves on, possibly with someone you know. It’s hard to stop those feelings of jealousy and rejection. The music video was really fun to work on, I got to use some of my acting experience as well as have some fun out in the desert!”

The single originally made its debut through Cadence & Cause, which donated the proceeds to helping shelter animals which you can read more about here.

Markley’s songwriting career began after a spinal injury that caused her to pull back from her passion of horseback riding. She used songwriting to cope with her emotions and found inspiration in her new passion; music. Now able to ride again, Markley strives to inspire and give others courage to follow their own dreams. The singer often plays rich and emotionally raw acoustic sets that are a staple of her home-state’s local coffeehouse vibe. When not performing in an intimate setting, Amanda rocks the stage with a full band and is a regular performer at the Hard Rock Cafe,  El Corazon, Chop Suey, and other iconic music houses in the Seattle area, sharing the stage with artists such as Aaron Carter, Tyler Ward, William Beckett, and more. Amanda Markley’s forthcoming EP featuring “Jealousy” was recorded at Rainmaker Studios in Washington.
