In honor of National Bullying Prevention Month, the dance game,”Just Dance 2015″ and STOMP Out Bullying, the leading national bullying and cyberbullying prevention organization for kids and teens in the US, officially announced their partnership this month.

“Just Dance” and STOMP Out Bullying will be teaming up to bring awareness to the bullying epidemic as well as support the bullying and cyberbullying prevention movement. They hope to drive home the message that “it’s okay to dance to your own beat!”

Carrie Bischke, director of brand partnerships, Ubisoft, said,

“We know that teens are one of the groups most impacted by bullying and cyberbullying. As a game that has become a mainstay in both popular culture and with young people, Just Dance is uniquely positioned to get the word out about anti-bullying. It’s a cause that’s important to us as a brand and as individuals so we’re proud to be teaming up with STOMP Out Bullying to encourage people everywhere to dance to the beat of their own drum.”

In order to reach Just Dance’s millions of fans around the world, a video highlighted in the game’s Dance VIP feature will showcase the development team dancing to a dedicated Just Dance 2015 track in STOMP Out Bullying’s iconic Blue Shirt, which stands for solidarity against bullying and cyberbullying. The video allows people all around the world to dance along to the cause and unite around the common goal of preventing bullying.

Ross Ellis, founder and CEO of STOMP Out Bullying said,

“We must make every effort to educate our youth about the issue of bullying and its effects. Students need to understand that although we are different in the way we look, our sexual orientation and race, that we must celebrate others’ differences. We are delighted to partner with Just Dance and work together so that our youths are safe – NO MATTER!”

Just Dance and STOMP Out Bullying will be identifying the most powerful anti-bullying stories to celebrate people who have overcome bullying or helped the cause in a unique way. Starting on Blue Shirt Day World Day of Bullying Prevention, which is held on the first Monday of every October and falls this year on October 6, these stories will be featured across Just Dance social media sites.
