Abi Ann, an aspiring singer and star, earned fourteen nominations at the 2013 Indie Music Channel Awards on April 28th. Abi graced the red carpet, rocked the award show at the House of Blues with an unforgettable performance and procured five awards throughout the night including Best Teen Country Artist and Best New Teen Artist of the Year. Abi Ann dominated the competition that included thousands of aspiring entertainers from various genres.
The nominations and 5 wins were for Best Country Video for “Silence”, Best Soundtrack Teen Artist for “Silence”, Best Teen Country Song for “Daydreaming”, Best Teen Country Artist and Best New Teen Artist of the Year. Abi Ann also acquired two awards for her angelic ballad, “Silence”, which she composed for the upcoming anti-bullying film Hello Herman, which will be released in select theaters nationwide on June 7th, 2013. Abi was asked by the producer of the film to pen a song based on one of the main characters, Herman. On the contrary, her award- winning upbeat track “Daydreaming”, is about ‘the butterflies in the stomach feeling’ one experiences as a result of burgeoning puppy love. She recently filmed the music video for “Daydreaming” in Los Angeles; the sneak peek trailer can be seen on her YouTube page. Along with her award winning accomplishments of the night, Abi Ann was a featured headliner, performing her hit singles “Stronger” and “Daydreaming”.
