Kraft MilkBite Milk & Granola Bars – Taste

Kraft MilkBite Milk & Granola Bars – Taste

Kraft MilkBite Bars

We know snack bars in this house, I take a different one to work each day, my kids eat them for lunch, and we all use them as snacks on the weekends. So when we were asked to do a taste test for the new Kraft MilkBite Milk and Granola Bars, I was like “where do we sign up!” They arrived packed to stay refrigerated and we were all excited to dig into them after dinner. We were sent both the Chocolate and Strawberry flavors and in short, they are delicious.

I love the taste and texture. Very much like a nice crunchy cookie dough type, not as hard as many of the other bars and they do have a nice smooth taste with the milk added to them. I was a fan from the first bite. We were given samples of both the Strawberry and the Chocolate with the Chocolate being my personal favorite of the two, although I still loved the Strawberry as well. Based on the other flavors that are announced we are also looking forward to Peanut Butter variety very much.

They do a good job at making sure you know they need to be refrigerated. Even on the wrapper of each individual bar it says “store in FRIDGE” on it to remind you. I just hope that Kraft does not have an issue changing the culture of popular snack bars by bringing to market a bar that needs to stay refrigerated. For our children we already include an ice pack in their lunch so this should not be an issue, and even when we go on trips we tend to bring a cooler with us in the car. When you have a long trip in the car, these bars are so much better than what we are usually left with some sort of dry bar.

I have the most telling reason of all regarding how and why Kraft MilkBite bars are so good. When they came into the house we got one box of Chocolate with 5 bars in it. I wanted to make sure that I was able to get at least two for myself for review (and because they were so good), so I made sure we tried two bars the first day and a third bar on the second day. Well when I go to get the last two bars on the third day, I find there is only one left. So after asking around the house no one would own up to eating that bar. So they must be so good that one of the kids had to sneak one! Either that or my wife, but both telling signs that these bars won’t stay long in your house.

Also a shout out to the designer of the packaging, I know they often go unmentioned in these types of reviews, but just looking at the bars in their wrappers can make you hungry. I very nice layout it does a good job and describing the taste via the picture. I am also interested in seeing how well they use Mel the Mascot in advertising.
