My kids love collectible things, and they are also boys who love races, so DaGeDar seems to combine both of them into a toy that should take off. Cepia has really decided to make this a toy that has a story to go with it; these characters live in a world called Dimension 33 and have one thing in common–they all race. As you know from my previous article, DaGeDar were one of my top toy picks while at Toy Fair 2011.
I am looking forward to introducing DaGeDar to my boys this summer. They combine the other-worldliness like Pokemon and Bakugan, but instead of battling they have tracks to race with. The tracks are reminiscent of a hot wheels track with all kinds of twists turns and, of course, loops! The big difference is that the DaGeDar really delivers in being able to successfully complete all the tricks it puts out there. This was one of the toys coming out that I really wanted to get my hands on and take a turn during the demonstration! These DaGeDar can really get speedy and roll through those tracks. We saw two different tracks, one being a stunt type track and the other being kind of a battle race track where you can only have one winner. My boys love racing, so this will be a win in our household.
The thing that has really sold me on DaGeDar, though, is the simplicity of the product. No worries about things breaking or being fragile; DaGeDar does not have to worry about those problems. Also, they have that great background story going for them, and we can only hope that Cepia gives us some great commercials and maybe even a cartoon in the future. Did we tell you that they are fast? Also, if you look at the pictures below, you will see that they also have these cases you can put them in like spinners, to see which can stay spinning the longest. Not to miss out on the online experience, you can also take your collector number online to see the secret spirit in the ball. Our boys are waiting to get their hands on DaGeDar and are a bit jealous we were able to see them in person already.
