Get ready this summer, Elena of Avalor is going to start out as a spin-off of Sofia the First and then will continue on as a new show. Great way to grab a built in audience and Elena will nurture multiple area of child development per the press material. It will still be geared towards kids 2-7 but I can see it skewing a bit older as well based on Elena’s age. Elena will be voice by Aimee Carrero and I wonder if we will see some crossover princess guest stars like we got to see in Sofia as well. The cast will include Princess Isabel, Elena’s younger sister, Migs, Luna, and Skylar, Francisco, Luisa, Duke Esteban, Naomi, Mateo, Gabe, Zuzo and Armando which lends itself to a rather full cast, as well as many different options for toys.
ELENA OF AVALOR – Disney Parks will welcome its first princess inspired by diverse Latin cultures. Princess Elena of Avalor will be appearing at Walt Disney World Resort this summer and at Disneyland Resort in the fall, following her television debut in a new animated series this summer on Disney Channel. So once your children start watching the new show the next thing is going to be how can they play with all the characters.
