Justin Bieber on American Idol Gives Back

Justin Bieber recorded a segment in advance for the “Idol Gives Back” episode on April 21st.  Bieber will be joining Sir Elton John, Alicia Keys, Carrie Underwood, the Black Eyed Peas, Annie Lennox and Mary J. Blige to raise money for Children’s Health Fund, Feeding America, Malaria No More, Save the Children’s U.S. Programs and the United Nations Foundation.

I would have liked to have seen Justin Bieber do something live for the show, but with his schedule I am sure it just was not possible.  “Idol Gives Back” raised more than $140 million in 2007/2008 but it was not held last year due to the recession.  I think it is great that all the stars go out of their way and that American Idol uses that huge audience for the humanitarian effort.

Justin Bieber will be performing at the NBC Today Show Concert Event on June 4th and you can check out some pictures of him in Teen Vogue and People Magazine.
