Over the past few months, anticipation has steadily grown for the newest installment in the PAW Patrol franchise.
With PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie set to roar into theaters next week as one of the final family blockbusters of the summer, fans of the beloved rescue pups have been treated to a wide range of promotional events, exclusive merchandise, and special collaborations leading up to the film’s release.
While cross-promotions and brand collaborations have become commonplace for major theatrical releases—especially in the post-Barbie era—few were as unexpected as Paramount’s latest partnership.
Fans of PAW Patrol were surprised and delighted when the franchise made an appearance in Paramount’s long-running summer reality competition series, Big Brother.
Now in its 28th season, Big Brother follows a group of houseguests living together under one roof as they compete in a social game built around strategy, alliances, and weekly competitions for power and safety—all while being monitored around the clock. Throughout the three-month competition, houseguests must rely on both their social skills and competitive abilities to avoid eviction and outlast their fellow competitors.
As part of the game, nominated houseguests are given two opportunities to save themselves from eviction. The first comes through the traditional Power of Veto competition, while the second arrives later in the week with the faster-paced BB Blockbuster challenge. Winning either competition removes them from danger before the house casts its eviction vote.
During this week’s live eviction episode on Thursday, August 6, the three nominated houseguests—Melody, Lyric, and Drew—competed for that final chance at safety in a puzzle challenge themed around PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie.
