Get ready to make your way to Mount Olympus because Disney is bringing the world of Percy Jackson and the Olympians to life in the heart of New York City!
With the highly anticipated third season of the Disney+ series arriving later this month, fans are getting ready to return to the world of Greek mythology for another adventure filled with gods, monsters and dangerous quests. But before Percy and his friends return to our screens, Disney is giving fans the opportunity to experience a little of that magic for themselves.
And what better place to do so than the very building that serves as the entrance to Mount Olympus in Rick Riordan’s beloved book series?
Beginning November 16, Disney+ will transform portions of the iconic Empire State Building into an immersive Percy Jackson and the Olympians experience titled Olympus Awaits, allowing visitors to make their way to the mythical 600th Floor and step inside the legendary home of the Greek gods.
Running through December 4, the special experience will transform the building’s 80th Floor into a recreation of Mount Olympus, complete with a grand Throne Room featuring towering thrones inspired by the gods themselves. Along the way, fans will be able to discover hidden references to the series, explore interactive elements and capture photos throughout the immersive environment.
And for some lucky demigods, there may even be a few surprises waiting along the way, including special keepsakes inspired by the series, such as a key to Olympus.
But the celebration won’t be limited to the upper floors!
Visitors will also find a special Hand of Talos installation inside the building’s ground-floor ticketing office, offering a free photo opportunity for fans who may not be making the full journey to Olympus.
Meanwhile, the Empire State Building itself is preparing to join in on the celebration with The Glow from Olympus, a special exterior lighting display currently scheduled for November 20, transforming the New York City landmark with colors inspired by the mythical home of the gods.
And because no Percy Jackson celebration would be quite complete without a little blue food, visitors to the 86th Floor Observation Deck will also be able to purchase a special Percy-inspired treat from an Eataly pop-up, alongside exclusive merchandise created for the collaboration.
But even fans who won’t be visiting New York City will have an opportunity to take part in the festivities!
As part of a nationwide campaign titled Offerings from Olympus, Disney is partnering with more than ten food and beverage brands to bring a collection of Percy-inspired treats and special offers to locations across the United States during the show’s premiere week.
From blue velvet cupcakes at Georgetown Cupcake and blue raspberry water ice at Happy Ice to specially themed donuts, bagels, ice cream and even blueberry pancakes, the campaign is bringing one of Percy’s most recognizable food traditions into the real world.
Participating businesses include The Salty Donut, J.P. Licks, Tiff’s Treats, Mel’s Drive-In, Utopia Bagels and several others, with individual promotions taking place throughout November 16–22, depending on the location.
For longtime fans of the books, seeing the Empire State Building transformed into Mount Olympus feels particularly fitting, considering the landmark’s important role throughout Percy’s adventures. And with the series preparing to adapt The Titan’s Curse for the first time, the experience offers another way for audiences to celebrate the next chapter of the story.
Olympus Awaits will run from November 16 through December 4, 2026, at the Empire State Building Observation Deck, although the immersive experience will be closed November 17 and 18. Admission is included with a regular Observation Deck ticket, while the ground-floor photo opportunity will be available free to the public.
Tickets and additional information are available through the Empire State Building’s official website.
Season 3 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians premieres November 20 on Disney+ and Hulu, bringing Percy and his friends back for another dangerous quest.
And for fans who have always dreamed of visiting Mount Olympus, it looks like the gods are opening their doors for a limited time!
