As summer begins winding down, brands continue finding creative ways to keep families engaged before the back-to-school season officially arrives. The latest example comes from an unexpected—but fitting—collaboration between Auntie Anne’s and DreamWorks Animation’s Gabby’s Dollhouse.
Marking the pretzel chain’s first-ever global licensing partnership—and its largest brand activation to date—Auntie Anne’s is bringing the world of Gabby’s Dollhouse to stores across eight international markets through limited-time menu items, themed packaging and interactive family experiences.
Launching today in the United States, families can pick up the new Cat-tastic Kids Meal, featuring eight Pretzel Nuggets, a dipping sauce, a drink and an exclusive Gabby-inspired wearable headband. Everything comes packaged inside a custom-designed box modeled after Gabby’s iconic dollhouse, turning the meal itself into part of the play experience.
International markets, including Australia, Ireland, Mexico, South Korea, Taiwan and the United Kingdom, will join the celebration beginning August 31 with their own localized promotions, including the Purr-fect Pairing, which bundles a pretzel and lemonade with an exclusive Gabby’s Dollhouse headband.
While the pairing may seem unexpected at first glance, it makes perfect sense. Gabby’s Dollhouse has become one of preschool entertainment’s biggest success stories, built around creativity, imagination and interactive play—qualities that naturally lend themselves to family dining experiences. By transforming a quick snack stop into something children can engage with beyond the food itself, the collaboration extends the show’s playful spirit into the real world.
The partnership also highlights how quickly Gabby’s Dollhouse continues expanding beyond streaming. From toys and publishing to live experiences, theatrical releases and now quick-service restaurant promotions, DreamWorks’ hit preschool franchise continues building a lifestyle presence that reaches families wherever they spend time together.
For Auntie Anne’s, the collaboration represents a significant milestone as its first global licensing campaign, while for Gabby’s Dollhouse, it marks yet another example of the franchise finding new ways to connect with young fans beyond the screen.
As families squeeze in those final summer outings before school routines return, the limited-time collaboration offers one more reason to stop by the mall for a snack—with a little extra magic waiting inside the box.
