Get ready to celebrate the holiday season with the Proud family because Penny, Oscar, Trudy and the rest of the beloved animated family are returning for an all-new Christmas adventure!
That’s right, Disney is bringing The Proud Family back to our screens this November with A Proud Family Wizmas, an original stop-motion holiday special that puts a festive new spin on the world fans have come to know and love over the years.
And this time, Penny Proud has a rather big problem on her hands.
In the upcoming special, Penny finds herself facing the consequences of accidentally destroying Christmas as we know it. With the holiday season now in jeopardy, she reluctantly takes on the responsibility of setting things right, embarking on a journey to save Christmas for the children of Emilyville and the rest of the world.
The newly released trailer gives fans their first look at the special’s unique stop-motion animation, bringing the familiar faces of The Proud Family into a different animation style as they prepare to celebrate the holidays. And with plenty of music, humor and some Christmas magic along the way, the upcoming adventure looks to bring together the heart of the original series with a new seasonal story.
Of course, it wouldn’t be The Proud Family without the voices that have helped bring these characters to life.
Kyla Pratt returns as Penny Proud alongside Tommy Davidson as Oscar, Paula Jai Parker as Trudy, JoMarie Payton as Suga Mama and Cedric the Entertainer as Uncle Bobby. Other returning cast members include Karen Malina White, Soleil Moon Frye, Alisa Reyes, Carlos Mencia, Alvaro Gutierrez, Raquel Lee Bolleau and Melissa De Sousa.
The special is also welcoming an assortment of guest stars, including Anderson .Paak, Lil Rel Howery, JB Smoove, Karlous Miller, Tone Loc, Earthquake, Luenell and Affion Crockett, alongside the return of Gabrielle Union as Talia Rogue.
Behind the scenes, A Proud Family Wizmas reunites series creator Bruce W. Smith and executive producer Ralph Farquhar, working alongside co-director David Brooks and stop-motion animation studio HouseSpecial. And for fans of the music that has always been such a recognizable part of the franchise, Kurt Farquhar is also returning as composer and songwriter, with six new original songs featured throughout the special.
It’s a new way to experience the Proud family’s adventures, bringing together the familiar humor and family dynamics of the series with the charm of stop-motion animation and a holiday story centered around Penny learning what it really means to save Christmas.
A Proud Family Wizmas premieres Saturday, November 14, 2026, exclusively on Disney+.
And for those looking to revisit the Proud family’s previous adventures before the holiday special arrives, The Proud Family, The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder and The Proud Family Movie are all available to stream on Disney+.
