Bedtime can sometimes use a little help.
A favorite story, a beloved stuffed animal and the right song can make settling down at the end of a very busy day just a little easier. And two familiar names in preschool entertainment are now coming together with something new to add to that nighttime routine.
“Peppa Pig” and Super Simple Songs have teamed up for “Twinkle Twinkle x Peppa’s Lullaby,” a new musical mash-up blending Peppa’s original lullaby with Super Simple Songs’ rendition of the classic “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.”
Released globally on October 6 by Hasbro Music and Super Simple Songs, the new track reimagines the two familiar melodies as one gentle bedtime song designed for young listeners and their families.
It’s also a collaboration that feels particularly natural.
Super Simple Songs has become a familiar part of early childhood for families around the world, mixing original children’s music with its own takes on classic nursery rhymes. The brand has grown to more than 46 million YouTube subscribers and accumulated 44 billion video views, meaning there is a pretty good chance more than a few parents already have one of its songs permanently lodged somewhere in their heads.
Peppa, meanwhile, has been building quite the music career of her own.
Beyond all those muddy puddles and everyday adventures, “Peppa Pig” now has more than 1,300 original songs and over one billion lifetime music streams. Songs, albums and special releases have increasingly become another way for preschoolers to spend time with Peppa away from the television screen.
And she has made a few musical friends along the way.
Recent collaborations have brought Peppa together with other familiar preschool favorites, including “Baby Shark” from The Pinkfong Company and “Sesame Street.” Now Super Simple Songs is joining that growing list with a collaboration aimed at one of the quieter parts of a child’s day.
Rather than creating something big and energetic, “Twinkle Twinkle x Peppa’s Lullaby” leans into familiarity. “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” is already one of those songs that generations of families have used around bedtime, while Peppa gives today’s preschoolers another familiar voice and world to connect with.
Sometimes that’s all a bedtime song really needs to be.
Something gentle. Something familiar. And something that tells little listeners the adventures of the day are over and it’s finally time to close their eyes.
