But apparently there is always room for one more member of the family — even if they happen to bark instead of meow.
Gabby’s Dollhouse is back with all-new adventures as season 14 arrives on Netflix. And this time, Gabby isn’t the only one bringing a little extra family into the Dollhouse.
Gabby’s younger sister Doozie is officially joining in on the fun alongside her adorable puppy pal, Puggie.
Naturally, an occasion like this calls for a little music.
Republic Records: Kids & Family and DreamWorks Animation have released Pawty Time, an all-new six-song EP accompanying the arrival of the latest season of the hit preschool series.
And yes, the title alone should tell you exactly what kind of time we’re in for.
The new release marks the franchise’s first musical crossover featuring Doozie and Puggie, led by the appropriately named “Meow-Meow Bow-Wow Family.”
Because when your family includes both Gabby Cats and puppies, apparently your soundtrack has to make room for everyone.
The six-song collection continues Gabby’s Dollhouse’s long-running use of music to celebrate friendship, imagination and play, while also introducing fans to the new sibling dynamic between Gabby and Doozie.
That relationship is carrying over into season 14 itself as Doozie visits the Dollhouse for her first cat-and-dog playdate.
Together, Gabby, Pandy Paws, the Gabby Cats, Doozie and Puggie will find themselves embarking on puppy-themed unboxings, doing a little fairy-sitting, trying their hands — or paws — at kitty-and-puppy baking and even setting off on a birthday mystery ride for DJ Catnip.
And given that DJ Catnip has his own birthday song on the EP, something tells us that celebration isn’t going to be a quiet one.
Music has become an increasingly large extension of the Gabby’s Dollhouse world. Following previous releases, including the Fairylandia songs, the franchise has now accumulated more than 650 million global streams.
With Doozie and Puggie entering the mix, Pawty Time offers another way to expand that musical world while giving the newest members of Gabby’s family their chance to take the mic.
