It takes a lot to build a global pop group.
Talent, countless hours of work, plenty of sacrifice and, perhaps just as importantly, the fans willing to come along for every step of the journey.
KATSEYE is celebrating all of it in “KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS,” a new documentary film arriving on Disney+ and Hulu in the U.S. on October 16. The film will also stream internationally on Disney+, giving fans around the world a closer look at the group as they step into another era of their rapidly growing career.

“WILD HEARTS” takes audiences behind the scenes with never-before-seen footage, intimate interviews with the members and fan videos from EYEKONS themselves. At the center of the documentary is the relationship that has formed between KATSEYE and its global fandom, with the film serving as a love letter to the fans who helped turn the group into the growing worldwide movement it has become.
It has certainly been quite the journey already.
KATSEYE emerged through “The Debut: Dream Academy,” with the group facing the intense pressure and competition that came with earning their place in the final lineup. “WILD HEARTS” doesn’t simply focus on what happened after the spotlight arrived, either. The documentary explores the highs, setbacks, sacrifices and breakthrough moments that helped shape the members on their way from that demanding beginning to viral hits, major performances and global pop success.
That makes the inclusion of the EYEKONS particularly fitting. Fans often experience the polished final version of a pop act—the music videos, performances, fashion, choreography and huge career moments. A documentary like this gets to pull back that curtain and show some of the work, uncertainty and persistence that happened before those moments ever reached a screen.
At the same time, the fan videos turn that lens around. KATSEYE’s story isn’t only being told through the people standing on stage, but through some of the people who were watching, supporting and helping spread their music along the way.
