There is no limit to where imagination can take you.
For generations, Little Tikes has helped transform everyday childhood moments into much bigger adventures. From playhouses and kitchens to slides, ride-ons and countless other toys, sometimes the best play starts with simply giving kids a space to make completely their own.
Now, Little Tikes is creating even more ways to play.
The longtime toy brand has officially launched Little Tikes Sweet Spaces, an all-new collection centered around imaginative role play with a modular twist that lets kids gradually create their own perfect play space.
Rather than offering one complete play kitchen, Sweet Spaces breaks the experience apart.
Kids and families can mix and match individual appliances, furniture, accessories and playsets to create something that fits how they want to play. A kitchen can become a bakery. A table can become a café. An espresso machine can turn the playroom into a coffee shop.
And tomorrow, it can become something completely different.
It is a simple idea that opens the door for plenty of storytelling.
At the center of Sweet Spaces is a modular kitchen collection featuring a refrigerator, oven and sink that can be purchased separately and brought together to create a larger kitchen.
The vintage-inspired refrigerator comes with 20 food accessories for stocking, sorting and serving, while the oven adds plenty of pretend baking opportunities—including a cake ready to be made.
The sink takes things a little further with an interactive water feature, bringing another hands-on element into everyday role play.
But Little Tikes isn’t stopping at the traditional play kitchen.
Kids can become their own neighborhood barista with the Sweet Spaces Espresso Machine and its pretend steam feature or experiment with a Mini Oven featuring its own air fryer and color-changing UV light.
From there, the collection continues growing.
An Apron & Oven Mitt Set lets little chefs dress for the job, while pots and pans, dishware and a tea set provide everything they need to start creating their own pretend meals and stories.
The Playful Plates assortment adds ice cream, ice pops, donuts and cupcakes into the mix, opening the door to everything from pretend bakeries to ice cream shops and tea parties.
Kids can even take their imaginary ice cream business on the road with the Ice Cream Scoot N’ Serve, a ride-on toy featuring an interior ice cream bar for both indoor and outdoor play.
The larger Sweet Spaces world extends beyond food too.
A Snack & Play Kids Table creates a place for eating, crafting, building and playing, while Mix & Match Chairs allow families to continue customizing the space.
Everything is wrapped inside a retro-modern aesthetic featuring seafoam, pink and white colorways alongside chrome-like details—a design approach intended to make the toys feel just as at home in modern family spaces as they do inside a child’s imagination.
The collection also complements several of Little Tikes’ other recent releases, including the Sweet Spaces Playhouse, Sweet Spaces Slide, ice cream sprinkle-inspired Inflatable Ball Pit and Ice Cream Bounce House.
Together, they are turning Sweet Spaces into something much bigger than a single play kitchen.
It is becoming an entire world kids can build around themselves.
And that modular approach gives the classic role-play category an interesting new spin. Instead of telling children exactly what their play space should be, Little Tikes is giving them the pieces and letting their imagination fill in the rest.
Maybe they want to run a café.
Maybe they’re baking cupcakes.
Maybe they’re hosting a tea party, serving ice cream or simply recreating the everyday moments they see happening around them.
There isn’t necessarily one way to play.
To celebrate the launch, Little Tikes is also bringing Sweet Spaces into the real world with a special pop-up at The Grove in Los Angeles Aug. 15-16.
Families will be able to explore café, kitchen and backyard picnic play zones where kids can become chefs, bakers, baristas and ice cream makers themselves. The experience will also include interactive photo opportunities, personalized keepsake aprons and opportunities to explore the wider collection.
Little Tikes Sweet Spaces is available now through major retailers.
Because sometimes all kids really need is their own little space—and the freedom to decide what it becomes next.
