While the hit series Dragon Striker only arrived on our screens back in June, this new anime-esque, action-focused sports series has already made an impact among viewers.
At its heart, the story is all about the pursuit of greatness — the challenges and implications that come with striving for your dreams, and the weight of carrying a destiny and legacy you never necessarily signed up for.
We’ve seen the challenges The Knights face as not only the underdogs within their school, but also the repercussions that Key is now carrying. As seen in the season one finale, Key has gained more power over his Tama…but he also now knows the truth about his mother.
While this is the core weight of the story — and something Key is going to have to face — everyone on The Knights is dealing with challenges of their own.
Challenges that are already bracing for an even greater impact as we enter the second season, which is currently eyeing an early 2027 release.
And yes, we absolutely cannot wait to make a countdown clock for this.
With 2027 still a ways off, Disney has treated us to some new Dragon Striker content in the form of a brand-new music video by Alana Da Fonseca.
Titled “Over My Destiny,” this new track sets the tone for what fans can expect as we charge deeper into the story and world of Dragon Striker.
While the music video does showcase scenes viewers will quickly recognize from the first segment of the story, much of this newly released video appears to show off new scenes presumably coming up in the next season.
With moments set against wintry, snow-covered backdrops, the seasons have changed and time has charged forward.
And along with that, it seems the challenges each of our characters are facing have only grown.
We see our principal cast reacting to and facing struggles we are likely already aware of — such as in the case of Key — as well as perhaps greater or deeper issues we aren’t fully aware of just yet.
As someone who already loves these characters, it’s hard to see this fantastic group looking so worn down and borderline defeated.
Yet no journey is ever easy, especially when you’re fighting for that golden victory.
And if there is one thing we’ve learned about The Knights, it’s that being knocked down has never stopped them from getting back up.
Until then, we look forward to seeing the path that leads them to where their dreams become reality.
