There is something about a good board game that never really goes out of style.
In fact, as tabletop gaming continues to enjoy its moment in the spotlight, the options for how—and where—we play some of our favorite classics just keep growing.
Now, some very familiar names are getting a pocket-sized digital makeover.
Fizz Creations has teamed-up with Hasbro for a brand-new collection of portable digital games based around some of the company’s most recognizable tabletop titles, including “Monopoly,” “Operation” and “Yahtzee.”
Because apparently game night no longer needs a table.
Set to arrive in early 2027, the upcoming range takes the familiar gameplay generations have grown-up with and reimagines it in a compact digital format designed for quick play on the go.
It is another interesting evolution of the current board game craze. While families and collectors have been rediscovering the appeal of physical tabletop gaming, classic games are simultaneously finding increasingly creative ways to move beyond the traditional box. From themed editions and licensed collaborations to digital adaptations and now dedicated portable versions, there have never been more ways to roll the dice.
And Hasbro certainly has decades of recognizable games to pull from.
“Monopoly” remains one of the most famous board games in the world, while “Operation” and “Yahtzee” have each become game-night staples in their own right. By shrinking those experiences into portable digital games, the new Fizz Creations collection is looking to hit several audiences at once: kids discovering the titles for the first time, adults who grew-up playing them and collectors who simply cannot resist another version of a favorite.
Additional Hasbro titles are also set to be revealed ahead of the collection’s launch.
The new range will make its debut in early 2027, with visitors to LA Preview 2026 getting an early opportunity to experience the collection before it heads to retail.
Board games might be booming, but apparently there is no rule saying they have to stay on the board.
And with some of Hasbro’s biggest classics now fitting in the palm of your hand, game night is about to become a whole lot more portable.
