As anticipation builds for the release of Camp Rock 3, fans have had the previously released track “One Beat Away” on repeat while speculating about how the rest of the film’s soundtrack will measure up. Now, thanks to a newly released music video straight from the film, audiences are getting a fresh preview of the musical stylings set to define this summer’s camp playlist.
Among the highlights is a brand-new rendition of one of the original film’s most memorable songs, “Play My Music,” originally performed by Connect 3—the in-universe band portrayed by the Jonas Brothers.
While longtime Camp Rock fans are familiar with the original performance, this updated version introduces an entirely new chorus of voices as a new generation of campers puts its own spin on the fan-favorite anthem. Based on the context of the scene, the performance serves as a musical audition, allowing campers to showcase their talent and prove they have what it takes to earn a coveted spot at The Final Jam.
