Disney Releases Music From Theme Park Attractions Ahead of Summer Travel

Summertime playlists are often filled with upbeat melodies and songs that keep the electric energy of the season echoing long after the sun goes down. And with Disney remaining one of the world’s premier summer travel destinations, chances are at least a few Disney tracks have found their way onto your seasonal playlist.

From the iconic harmonies of beloved animated classics to songs from the latest Disney+ series audiences have been binge-watching, Disney music continues to hold a lasting place within pop culture playlists. Now, that musical collection is growing even larger as Disney begins bringing more of its theme park attraction soundtracks to major music streaming platforms.

Following the recent refresh of the classic Walt Disney World attraction Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, Disney has officially released the attraction’s soundtrack album. The five-track collection, composed by Mike Rubino, allows fans to bring the energetic atmosphere of Star Command into their everyday routines — whether they are preparing for adventure or simply running errands.

In addition, Disney has also released music tied to another refreshed attraction experience. Ahead of its May 26 debut at Walt Disney World and July 2 opening at Disneyland Resort, fans can now stream the soundtrack for “Soarin’ Across America.” Featuring arrangements by Bruce Broughton, the musical release captures the sweeping and emotional feeling of soaring across the nation just ahead of America’s upcoming 250th anniversary celebrations.

Music has always played a vital role in how The Walt Disney Company approaches storytelling — including within its theme park attractions. For many guests, attraction music becomes inseparable from the memories tied to those experiences themselves. A single melody can instantly transport someone back to walking down Main Street, boarding a favorite ride, or spending summer days surrounded by the atmosphere and wonder Disney parks are known for.

By releasing more attraction music onto streaming platforms, Disney is not simply expanding its music catalog. The company is extending the emotional experience of the parks beyond the gates themselves, allowing fans to reconnect with that sense of wonder long after their vacations have ended.

And in today’s fast-moving world, bringing a little extra everyday Disney magic home may be exactly what many fans are looking for this summer.
