Fight fire with Dragon Flame.
At long last, the final and epic conclusion to the first season of Winx Club: The Magic Is Back is inching closer.
After having the second part released back in July, the time has finally arrived for Bloom, the Winx and the Specialists to see the end of their first mission in this new reboot retelling of the popular 2000s magical-girl series.
Bloom has discovered her powers, but remains uncertain about where they — and her past — truly stem from. Her relationship with Sky isn’t fully taking shape yet, despite the budding feelings they mutually share. And the conflict between Bloom and her newly discovered twin brother, Damien, is only increasing in intensity with each encounter.
Never mind that Vexius is still at large and more dangerous than ever.
This is way more than your normal high school life.
Thankfully, Bloom has her five new best friends by her side to navigate the feats ahead.
Save Damien from his father, connect the missing pieces of her past and, you know, save the entire universe.
Not your normal agenda for a teenage girl, but Bloom is ready to embrace the battle ahead in the newly released trailer for the third and final segment of the series’ freshman season.
And this trailer stands out from its predecessors.
Not only because, this time, we are running over the two-minute mark, but because there is a tonal shift that you simply can’t shake.
Winx Club has never been the kind of series to pull back from darker story beats. Case in point, the events of Season 3 alone act as a strong example of how the franchise can balance the darker and more serious ramifications of heroism while still remaining upbeat, magical and unapologetically girly.
But this time, things feel more intense — and with good reason.
Damage has already been done to the universe, the schools and, more personally, the characters themselves. While Bloom is fighting to save family she never knew was hers — along with, you know, the universe, of course — everyone else appears to have already written her brother off, seemingly willing to let his fate align with his father’s.
Vexius is getting bolder with his strikes, and the battle is about far more than simply taking Bloom’s magic away from her.
Now, the stakes are more severe.
Everyone is in the line of fire.
And once again, audiences will follow the Winx fairies as they fight to save the day while trying to bring a family torn apart back together.
It’s going to take all the magic they have to win this final battle.
But Bloom has never been one to give up on someone she believes can still be saved.
So when everyone is standing in the line of fire, there may be only one thing left to do.
Fight fire with Dragon Flame.
