Huge announcement as The Glo Companies is doing a collab with Sesame Workshop to give us three interactive titles that are powered by the exclusive Magic Magnifier technology. We will be getting Abby’s Garden Sounds which introduces sensory exploration through nature, Elmo in Outer Space which encourages curiosity about science and discovery, as well as Elmo and Abby’s Butterfly Friend which highlights friendship and transformation through a gentle, interactive narrative and is written by Sesame Workshop’s own Meg Seyler. Each of the books gives us a wonderful story that is leveled up by the Magic Magnifier technology and is recommended for ages 18M+
We were able to give Elmo and Abby’s Butterfly Friend a spin and we have to say the quality of the book itself is great and means that it should hold up well with kids as this is something they will enjoy for many years. The story has Elmo and Abby Cadabby meeting a caterpillar and what happens one day when they can not find him. Grandma Nell steps in to teach everyone a bit about what happens to a caterpillar goes into their chrysalis. We really think everyone, including parents will enjoy the fact that pulling the Magic Magnifier over certain parts of the book allows lights that are in the book to glow, and what is great is that you really do not see them until the Magic Magnifier goes over them, making it a surprise. The magnifier is easy to hold for younger kids and parents will probably have to turn it on for the younger ones, but it also means it is not something that gets turned on by mistakes and runs through the 2xAAA batteries that are required.
