“Cloudbabies” Expands Its Colorful World With New Songs, Stories and More

There is always another adventure waiting somewhere beyond the clouds.

Yet sometimes, little ones need to wind down from all that adventuring too.

Hoho Entertainment is continuing to expand the colorful world of “Cloudbabies” beyond the screen this fall with a new collection of music, audio stories and products designed to give preschoolers even more ways to spend time with their favorite Skyfriends throughout the day.

The latest expansion begins with music. “Rainbow Song” kicks off a collection of 13 new tracks being released by Redrocca, the digital label of Hoho’s music publishing partner peermusic Accorder, in partnership with Absolute Label Services. Rather than releasing everything at once, new songs will continue arriving every three to four weeks through 2027.

Those tracks will eventually form two rather different “Cloudbabies” listening experiences.

“Skyfriends Singalong Songs” will feature six original tracks inspired by themes from the animated series, including the lead song “Skyhorsies Song,” which is being described as something of a Texas hoedown for preschoolers. On the quieter side of the clouds, “Winding Down for Bed” will offer a collection of “Cloudbabies” lullabies led by “Hello Moon.”

Together, the albums create a pretty natural extension of the preschool series. Kids can sing and move along with the Skyfriends during the day before returning to the same familiar world when it is finally time to slow things down for the night.

Music isn’t the only way “Cloudbabies” is becoming a little easier to listen to without a screen. Hoho Entertainment is also launching a collection of audio stories beginning with “Time to Shine,” a Rainbow-centered adventure that incorporates a chorus from the newly released “Rainbow Song.”

For preschool properties, audio storytelling offers an interesting middle ground. Familiar characters can still lead the adventure, but without animation filling in every detail, young listeners get a little more room to imagine the world for themselves. In the case of “Cloudbabies,” a series already filled with colorful skies, rainbows, stars and fantastical friends, there is certainly plenty to imagine.

The brand’s expansion isn’t stopping with listening either. Hoho is relaunching the official “Cloudbabies” e-shop alongside Print Clever, scaling the direct-to-consumer platform across the U.S., U.K. and Europe. New additions will include apparel and accessories as well as plush featuring glow-in-the-dark embroidered threads, complementing the property’s existing picture books and autumn and winter toy offerings.

There is a growing audience waiting for all of it. Hoho Entertainment currently operates official “Cloudbabies” YouTube channels in English, German and Spanish, with almost half of the English-language channel’s audience coming from the United States. Over the past 90 days, “Cloudbabies” content generated 20.9 million impressions, 4.2 million views and more than 630,000 hours of watch time on YouTube.

Those numbers are particularly notable for a preschool property continuing to find new life beyond its original television presence. Rather than relying solely on more episodes, Hoho is finding ways for “Cloudbabies” to follow children into different parts of their everyday routines through songs, stories, books, toys and bedtime.

So whether little ones are ready to sing along with the Skyhorsies, settle in for a story with Rainbow or simply cuddle up with a glowing Cloudbabies friend as the day comes to an end, there are plenty of new adventures waiting in the sky.

And when it finally is time for bed?

Well, even Cloudbabies have to come down from the clouds sometime.
