Time is ticking until the next wave of new-generation talent at the one and only Hollywood Arts begins their new school year — and their first chapter with audiences as they pursue dreams of starlight.
Thus far, we have only been given details surrounding the series, a trailer and the theme song released on streamers — all of which BSCKids first covered. But we haven’t fully gotten to see our new leading teens together one-on-one, never mind onstage, where the core of the story resides.
That is, until now.
With around three weeks until the new series arrives on Netflix on October 15, fans finally get to see and hear the musical stylings of these new stars.
And it’s even better than we expected.
In the newly released video for “Born For This,” we see our leading teens take to the stage inside Hollywood Arts and perform together at center stage. But rather than a fast-paced, upbeat song, we are treated to something slower and more heartfelt, allowing their individual vocal ranges to shine. The short video not only masterfully shows off that musical depth, but also their dancing chops and unified stage presence.
They truly are able to come together as a seamless and functional unit, even when that isn’t necessarily their main objective.
While we did get to see their predecessors often perform together as well — and there was certainly no lack of talent — there is something very special about these five friends. Something that is going to make them shine in their own unique way.
And we can’t wait to see just how far that takes them.
