The Heroes in a Half Shell are preparing to take on an entirely new stage.
Continuing to expand one of entertainment’s most recognizable franchises, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is officially heading to live theater with the announcement of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Live on Stage!, an all-new production set to debut in fall 2027.
Created in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the original 1987 animated series, the production will bring Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo to audiences in an action-packed theatrical experience inspired by the beloved cartoon that helped turn the franchise into a global phenomenon.
The show will celebrate the Turtles’ incredible journey from their comic book beginnings to worldwide pop culture icons, while seeing the brothers face off against some of their most recognizable villains along the way.
Behind the production is an impressive creative team that includes Tony Award-winning producer Eva Price, director and choreographer Jennifer Weber and Emmy Award-winning writer Qui Nguyen, whose credits include Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon. Together, they are blending martial arts choreography, gravity-defying parkour, hip-hop dance, projection technology and the signature humor fans have come to expect from the franchise.
For nearly four decades, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have entertained generations of fans through animated series, feature films, comics, toys and video games. Now, that legacy continues to grow as the Turtles prepare to leap from the screen onto the stage.
While tour dates, casting and locations have yet to be announced, the approximately 90-minute production is shaping up to be another exciting way for longtime fans and newcomers alike to experience the adventures of Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo in a whole new way.
More information, including tour stops and casting announcements, will be revealed at a later date.
