Fans of the beloved childhood staple, “My Little Pony,” are ready for another dose of friendship magic at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con (“SDCC”).
Since its arrival on toy shelves and television screens, “My Little Pony” has been charming fans for decades, showing generations the importance of heart, compassion, and all the Elements of Harmony.
Thanks to the franchise’s core values, delightful character designs, and deeply woven storytelling, these ponies have captured the hearts of fans around the globe and across generations. From those who grew up with the very first generation of ponies to those who fell in love with the fourth generation that reminded us friendship truly is magic, “My Little Pony” has transcended childhood playtime to become a landmark franchise in modern family entertainment.
Over the years, “My Little Pony” has become a cornerstone of animated storytelling, creating a cultural impact that continues to be felt today. It’s little surprise that the brand has remained a longtime fixture at major celebrations of pop culture, including the famed San Diego Comic-Con.
As part of this year’s SDCC, “My Little Pony” will host a panel on July 24 featuring some of the creative minds behind the magical franchise, including Cassidy Boyd, Director of Global Brand Marketing and Strategy; Gretchen Mallorie, Head Writer at Hasbro; Tayham Mustafa, Senior Creative Producer; and the one and only Lauren Faust, the award-winning animator, writer, and director best known for “My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.”
With such a stacked lineup of panelists, it clearly feels like this will be one of the can’t-miss panels for attendees. At present, there is no word on exactly what will be discussed, whether any announcements are planned, or if fans can expect new reveals. But nothing should be ruled out, as SDCC has long been the home of some of pop culture’s biggest fan-focused announcements.
