Some of the greatest animated memories don’t begin with a scene—they begin with a song.
Whether it’s the empowering anthems of Jem and the Holograms, the playful melodies of Peppa Pig, or the friendship-filled tunes of My Little Pony, music has always been one of animation’s most powerful storytelling tools. Long after an episode ends or the toys are put away, those songs continue playing in our heads, becoming part of imaginative adventures long after the credits roll.
Now, Hasbro Music is turning up the volume just in time for summer.
Rolling out across June 26 and July 3, the company is delivering an exciting collection of new singles, remixes and albums spanning three of its most iconic brands, giving families plenty of new additions for road trips, pool days and those unforgettable summer playlists.
Leading the celebration is the return of one of animation’s most legendary musical icons.
Nearly four decades after proving that music truly is magic, Jem and the Holograms is back with a brand-new reimagining of “Who Is He Kissing?“, once again featuring original Jem vocalist Britta Phillips. The release serves as the first taste of the upcoming Jem and the Holograms: Music Is Magic EP, arriving July 3, where fan-favorite classics including “Music Is Magic,” “Twilight in Paris” and “It Depends On The Mood I’m In” receive vibrant new arrangements from a female-led creative team.
For generations of fans, Jem represented something truly special. Long before musical animated series became commonplace, the glamorous rock band proved that animation and unforgettable music could create something truly timeless. Even today, those iconic ’80s songs continue to resonate with audiences, reminding fans why Jem remains—as the theme song famously promised—truly outrageous.
Hasbro is also introducing the very first Peppa Pig Choir, debuting with a joyful new version of “It’s Peppa Pig.” Featuring authentic children’s voices, the new choir celebrates friendship, imagination and family while giving one of preschool’s most recognizable theme songs a fresh new sound. The musical fun continues July 3 with the release of One Pig Happy Family, celebrating Peppa’s growing family with seven brand-new songs inspired by everyday adventures.
Meanwhile, over in Equestria, DJ Pon-3 is ushering in a bold new “Neigh Pop” era for My Little Pony. New remixes of “The Smile Song” and “The Laughter Song” transform Pinkie Pie’s beloved musical numbers into energetic pop anthems while staying true to the joy, optimism and friendship that have defined the franchise for generations.
Animation has always understood the power of music. A great song doesn’t simply accompany a story—it helps audiences remember it. It invites families to sing along in the car, inspires children to recreate their favorite adventures with toys, and keeps beloved characters part of everyday life long after the television has been turned off.
That is exactly what makes releases like these so exciting. They aren’t simply new songs—they’re new ways to experience worlds that fans already love.
Whether you’re revisiting the glamorous world of Jem and the Holograms, singing along with Peppa Pig, or dancing through Equestria with My Little Pony, Hasbro Music is making sure this summer’s soundtrack is filled with imagination, nostalgia and plenty of unforgettable melodies.
