Disney, The NFL And Champion Bring Sports, Storytelling And Style Together In New Collection

Today’s sports fans aren’t just cheering from the sidelines—they’re wearing their fandom every day.

As the worlds of sports, entertainment and lifestyle continue to overlap, Disney and the NFL are taking that idea one step further with a brand-new collaboration that pairs all 32 NFL teams with beloved characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars, creating a collection where team pride meets some of pop culture’s biggest icons.

Unveiled during Fanatics Fest NYC, the new Disney x Champion NFL Collection marks another milestone in Disney and ESPN’s “Year of the Super Bowl,” celebrating the growing connection between sports fandom and entertainment through apparel designed for fans on and off game day.

The first wave of the collection introduces eight creative character pairings inspired by each team’s personality and culture, including Beast representing the Buffalo Bills, Woody joining the Dallas Cowboys, Darth Vader standing alongside the Las Vegas Raiders, Captain America representing the New England Patriots, Wreck-It Ralph teaming up with the New York Giants, Buzz Lightyear taking flight with the New York Jets, Captain Hook sailing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Hamm joining the Washington Commanders.

Featuring T-shirts, sweatshirts and crewnecks, the collection blends sports apparel with Disney storytelling, allowing fans to celebrate both the teams they love and the characters that have become part of their lives for generations.

The collaboration also reflects a growing shift happening throughout fan culture.

Being a fan today extends well beyond watching the game or cheering from the stands. Sports have become part of everyday lifestyle, with apparel, collectibles and collaborations allowing supporters to express multiple passions at once. Whether someone grew up watching Disney classics, exploring galaxies far, far away or following Marvel heroes, collections like this recognize that modern fandom rarely fits inside just one box.

For Disney, it also continues a broader strategy of bringing its iconic characters into unexpected spaces. Rather than remaining within films and television, beloved characters are increasingly appearing alongside fashion, sports, gaming and live experiences, creating new opportunities for fans to connect with the stories they love in their everyday lives.

The collection made its debut through the Disney Fan Draft, a live presentation at Fanatics Fest hosted by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell that reimagined the excitement of Draft Day by matching Disney characters with NFL franchises in front of fans, athletes and entertainment personalities alike.

The remaining 24 team pairings will be revealed this August before the complete collection becomes available through Fanatics, NFL Shop, Disney Store and select Lids locations nationwide.

As fandom continues evolving, collaborations like this prove that the line between sports, entertainment and lifestyle is becoming smaller than ever—and for today’s fans, that’s a winning combination.
