While we announced the news of this upcoming show last month, we wanted to talk about where the Adventure Time series is going and why it breaks one of our series watching rules! We have seen the end of Adventure Time and it was glorious and for us that usually means we do not go back and visit a series. It is just one of our rules, well something interesting happened as we did watch Adventure Time: Side Quests and even being a prequel has caught our attention. As for Adventure Time: Bubblegum And Marceline we know it will take place after the after the main Adventure Time series finale so we are all in! The series has done a great job at giving us a lot to think about as we look into the future of the characters and while we did make a large jump forward in the main series at the end, this will be a great opportunity to see what happened to both Bubblegum and Marceline and we will definitely be along for the ride. Sorry Fionna and Cake, we like staying in the same universe. Stay tuned for more information about Adventure Time: Bubblegum And Marceline. This will add even more to the great world building of the series and hopefully introduce us to new lands and characters in the universe.
HBO Max has given a ten-episode, straight-to-series order for ADVENTURE TIME: BUBBLEGUM AND MARCELINE, a new animated series based on characters from the beloved “Adventure Time” franchise. After the success of Max Originals “Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake” and “Adventure Time: Distant Lands,” Emmy®-winner Adam Muto will continue to serve as showrunner and executive producer.
