Some families leave a lasting impression long after the credits roll.
For nearly twenty-five years, The Proud Family has entertained audiences through its blend of humor, heart and relatable family moments. From its original run to its revival through The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, Penny Proud and her family have continued to connect with viewers across multiple generations.
Now, Disney+ has revealed what’s next for one of its most beloved animated families.
The streamer has officially announced that the fourth and final season of The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder will premiere on July 29, arriving just ahead of the franchise’s 25th anniversary celebration. Alongside the season renewal news, Disney also unveiled an all-new stop-motion holiday special titled A Proud Family Wizmas, which is set to debut later this year.
Season four will find Penny Proud facing a series of unexpected adventures that challenge both her courage and sense of identity. According to Disney, the new episodes will feature even more action-packed, heartfelt and surprising twists as the Proud family navigates life’s latest challenges together.
In addition to the returning cast, the upcoming season will welcome an impressive lineup of guest stars including Mariah Carey, Chloe Bailey, Lorraine Toussaint, Dee Nasty, Adele Givens, Ali Wong and Lashana Lynch.
The announcement also comes alongside news that series creators Bruce W. Smith and Ralph Farquhar have renewed their overall deal with Disney Television Animation. Through their production banner, BaR Productions, the pair will continue developing and producing new projects across Disney Entertainment Television.
Fans looking forward to the holidays will also have another adventure to celebrate later this year with A Proud Family Wizmas, a music-filled stop-motion special featuring six original songs and bringing the Proud family into an entirely new animation style for the first time.
