Netflix’s “Kpop Demon Hunters” Expands Into Collectible Cards

Fresh still off the heels of showing the world they are ready for a takedown with the epic near month-long battle for fans at McDonald’s, KPop Demon Hunters continues its accelerating momentum with a brand-new development that will have collectors everywhere ready to hunt.

Following the massive success of the collectible trading cards featured inside the themed meals from the global fast-food chain, Netflix is now expanding that idea even further alongside trading card company Kayou. Already known as a major force within the trading card market and managing close to 100 different IPs across various mediums, the company is now teaming up with one of the biggest breakout entertainment phenomena in recent history to create something truly special for fans.

The upcoming card collection, which will feature both an Energy Edition and Classic Edition, is currently slated to arrive at retailers this summer in lockstep with the growing wave of consumer products tied to the franchise. This includes the highly anticipated toy lines from notable companies including Mattel and Hasbro.

With their own unique packaging designs and assortment of collectible rarities, the cards will give fans an all-new hands-on way to connect with their favorite characters and moments from the film. The Energy Edition is set to feature 11 rarities, while the Classic Edition will include 8, giving collectors a variety of options that can align with their own collecting styles and preferences. Preorders are already available online through retailers including GameStop and Amazon.

Based on publicly shared details, there are already plans to continue expanding the KPop Demon Hunters trading card line through future waves, limited edition sets, and additional releases. For fans of HUNTR/X, this appears to truly only be the beginning of the group’s rapidly growing world tour across the entertainment and consumer products space.

Not only does this new trading card collection continue to highlight the strength and passion behind what is quickly becoming one of the defining animated franchises of this decade, but it also showcases the true cultural and entertainment impact KPop Demon Hunters has made on a global scale. From becoming a modern streaming phenomenon to now being immortalized through the long-standing tradition of trading cards, the franchise continues to prove that the future ahead looks incredibly golden.
