IT’S OFFICIAL HUNTERS 💫  KPOP DEMON HUNTERS will officially return for a sequel written and directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans!

“I feel immense pride as a Korean filmmaker that the audience wants more from this Korean story and our Korean characters. There’s so much more to this world we have built and I’m excited to show you. This is only the beginning.” – @nutmags

“These characters are like family to us, their world has become our second home. We’re excited to write their next chapter, challenge them and watch them evolve — and  continue pushing the boundaries of how music, animation and story can come together.” – Chris Appelhans

Though Kpop Demon Hunters released on the global streaming platform Netflix in late June of the previous year, nine months later the love, passion, and excitement surrounding the story of the demon hunters has far from cooled off. From countless live performances by the film’s sensational vocal talent, to records being shattered in the likeness of HUNTR/X, along with a growing list of awards and expanding consumer goods, the film’s impact continues to grow.

In the words of the girls’ trusty manager Bobby, it’s HUNTR/X, HUNTR/X, HUNTR/X.

According to reports, the film is currently eyeing a 2029 release. As the news has just been formalized, no additional details are available at this time. Given the force that is Kpop Demon Hunters, and the talented and passionate individuals behind the screens and microphones, it will surely be a golden return.

Until then, the number of watches for this now-classic film will surely continue to skyrocket.
