As we begin to dive deeper into the end of the year, Spotify has released their annual Unwrapped recap for users of the popular music streaming platform.
Coming off a truly golden year, it was far from a surprise that Netflix and Sony’s global smash hit Kpop Demon Hunters would be shinning. Since their release in the summer, the film has broken- and continues to- shatter record after record.
Including ones for Spotify, such as:
- “Golden” sitting at number 7 in Global Top Songs of 2025
- Number 2 at Global Top Albums of 2025
- Songs from the soundtrack being added to more than 17K Spotify Playlists Worldwide
- “Golden” spending more time at number 1 on Spotify ‘s Global Charts than any other song in that same timeframe for 78 days
- “Golden” being number 2 and entering Spotify Billions Club (streamed more than 1B times globally)
As a way to thank all the fans for their support, a new animated video of the three members of HUNTR/X was rolled out.
After not seeing the girls in new content following the film, it is a true delight to see them in animated form again. And fans can note and appreciate this canonically in universe happens following the events of the film as Rumi’s patterns are fully visible.
In the video, the girls tease about “seeing us at the next show”. While this likely is a nod to the now greenlit second film. It could also allure to other things that have the potential to develop in 2026.
