Hop Into This Spring’s Pixar Film “Hoppers” With New Trailers

It may be nearing the end of the year, but iconic entertainment company Disney hasn’t slowed down in building excitement for what awaits in 2026.

This time, after much anticipation, we finally have our first full trailer for Pixar’s next film — Hoppers.

After a group of scientists invent a way to “hop” human minds into lifelike robotic animal bodies, a young woman named Mabel uses their technology to embody a robotic beaver and thwart a construction company’s plot to destroy the local animal habitat

While we absolutely have to call out how adorable the animals look and how Pixar has once again delivered exceptional animation, the element that stands out most in this trailer is how dark and emotionally deep the storyline appears to be.

It’s no secret that Pixar is no stranger to exploring more serious themes in their work. If anything, it’s one of their strongest storytelling trademarks, and it looks like they’re leaning into that once again with this new entry.

Not only is Hoppers shaping up to explore environmental themes, but it also seems to be setting up a deeper conflict between animals and humans. There are definitely plenty of ways we can theorize how this will unfold, but one thing is certain: it’s shaping up to be something remarkable. And hopefully, no one gets squashed in the process.

Regardless, we look forward to seeing more developments as we head into the early March release — and discovering how Hoppers might connect to the Pixar Theory.
