BSCKids: “Around the World in 60 Seconds” is a fun show. Tell us a bit about it, where we can find it and how you got the role?

McClairen Eisenhour: “Around the World in 60 Seconds” is a social media show where my co-host Matthew and I promote the upcoming events and attractions at the Disney parks! You can watch “Around the World in 60 Seconds” on YouTube and Instagram @wdwbestdayever. When I found out I booked the job, it was so exciting. I was first sent a self-tape and I remember thinking how cool the concept of the show was. I sent in two more self-tapes and then was asked to do a Skype interview, which I did on vacation. I found out a couple days later that I had moved on to the next round which was Skype chemistry reads with other kids. A week later I was flown to Orlando for a callback. About three weeks later, my manager called to tell me I had booked the job!

How often can we expect to see “Around the World in 60 Seconds”…

You can expect to see a new segment of Around the World in 60 Seconds every month for the next six months. There is a lot of exciting stuff in the upcoming segments so definitely keep watching!

What are you most looking forward to at the parks, and what is your current favorite ride?

I always look forward to seeing Cinderella’s beautiful castle! Magic Kingdom is my absolute favorite place to go in Disney. Space Mountain is my all time favorite ride. When I would get off work for the day, I would always head in to Magic Kingdom to ride Space Mountain. My mom and I actually waited in line two hours, one night, to ride it!

Have you met any of the stars from Disney Channel yet? If you could guest star on one of the Disney Channel shows which one would it be and why?

Unfortunately, I haven’t met any Disney Channel stars but of course I would love to. I would love to have guest starred on Cory in the House or Shake it Up (my two favorite Disney shows). Kyle Massey is so funny and talented and the theme song is such a bop. Shake it Up is so iconic and when I was younger I always wanted to guest star on it.

In the parks what is your favorite food?

The Grey Stuff at Be Our Guest restaurant is my favorite! I was a little hesitant to try it at first but I took Lumiere’s advice and I’m glad I did. If you ever find yourself at Be Our Guest, you need to try it.

How do you prepare to shoot the show?

I typically prepared by reading my script the night before and then getting enough sleep. We typically had early call times and we would head over to set at about 5-6 AM. I always made sure to be prepared and ready for the upcoming day. That’s the best way to prepare while going on set.

What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?

I’m a pretty good hula hooper. I won a hula hooping contest in third grade and I still have the ribbon!

Tell us a bit about your wonderful first name and if there was a reason your parents named you that?

I love this question! My mom actually wanted to name me Lydia, but my dad had the idea of McClairen because my mom worked for an advertising firm, McClarren and Williams at the time. He thought that name was so pretty and just decided to spell it differently. So, I guess you could say I’m actually named after one of my mom’s former bosses! I actually really like my name because of how unique it is.

Acting, Dancing, Singing…do you have a current favorite of the three right now?

Right now, I’d have to say acting is my favorite. Being able to start doing more film has let me experience more acting and I really like it.

What is your favorite non Disney YouTube channel and Favorite Instagram?

I love Katherine Steele’s YouTube channel. She talks a lot about the business as a whole and she’s so helpful. My favorite Instagram is @theatreproblemsofficial. They post all things theatre and I feel like all theatre kids can definitely relate.

Is there anything coming up in the future you can tell us about?

I have a lot of auditions coming up! With pilot season coming up, I will have a lot more auditions. I also just got casted as Kelsi in a production of High School Musical. I like to stay busy!

You can watch the first episode below and special thanks to McClairen Eisenhour for taking the time to talk to us:

Damon Cap: Have three kids, two boys (18 and 16) and a girl (12). I had a grandfather that watched cartoons and read the Sunday funnies until he passed. I feel the same way and continue to watch the Disney channel in my 40s. Check out our BSCKids youtube channel Current favorite show is Amphibia.
