Worst Cooks In America, which is on Food Network with Anne Burrell And Bobby Flay back leading teams, will be returning for Season 17 on Sunday, August 4th at 9pm. This is the one that started it all as we love to watch people try to cook as we imagine that we might do even better on the show. World-renowned chefs Anne Burrell and returning champ Bobby Flay are back to lead teams of the worst cooks in America through a rigorous culinary boot camp. It’s a high-stakes season full of new food-centric challenges ranging from Greek plate smashing to tasting super spicy ice cream. The chefs have their work cut out for them as they try to transform these kitchen zeroes to culinary heroes but in the end, one recruit will win the grand prize of $25,000.
Worst Cooks In America will have the two teams, of some of the worst cooks, being mentored by Bobby and the other team by Anne, in a cooking boot camp with different challenges in front of them. You can see some more information on the first few episodes below.
Season 17, Episode 1 – Nowhere to Go But Up
Fourteen of the worst cooks in America enter boot camp with dreams of putting their kitchen nightmares behind them. Chefs Anne Burrell and Bobby Flay see just what kind of disasters they’re dealing with by asking the recruits to create a date night dish. After being sorted into teams, the recruits are shown their chef’s signature date night dish and are tasked with replicating it exactly. The recruits on each team with the worst dishes won’t be getting a second date.Season 17, Episode 2 – “My Big Fat Greek…”
The remaining recruits return to find boot camp has been transformed into a Mediterranean paradise. They explore Greek cuisine with a game that explores the tradition of plate smashing before learning how to make the Greek classics tzaziki and dolmas. Next, chefs Anne Burrell and Bobby Flay task the recruits with making their own mezze platters and a Greek lamb dish. In the end, the good is separated from the bad and the two worst recruits are sent home.
Season 17, Episode 3 – Summer Catch, Summer Heat
The recruits enter boot camp prepared for summer fun. They begin by taking a taste buds challenge where they must identify ice cream flavored with spicy peppers. Next, chefs Anne Burrell and Bobby Flay ask the recruits to create their own pretzel and dipping sauce that incorporates both sweet and spicy flavors. For the main dish challenge, the recruits must filet a whole fish and create a side dish with a kick. The two recruits that sink will get sent home!Season 17, Episode 4 – The Bird is the Word
The recruits enter the world of poultry where they start off with a bird-based quiz game before making their very own omelets. For the main dish challenge, the recruits learn how to make perfect fried chicken. Those who cook the perfect bird will soar on in the competition while those at the bottom of the pecking order will be sent home.

This summer, Bobby Flay rejoins Anne Burrell to whip a new roster of cooking disasters into culinary shape in the return of Worst Cooks in America. The hit series pits two teams of the country’s most atrocious cooks, one led by Bobby and the other by Anne, against each other in a kitchen boot camp designed to transform their food skills. In the end, only the one recruit who makes the most impressive culinary transformation wins a $25,000 grand prize and bragging rights for their team leader. The new season helmed by Anne and Bobby, whose last stint as a Worst Cooks mentor was in 2014, premieres Sunday, August 4th at 9pm (all times ET/PT) with recruits including an ex pro-football player, a priest and a Zumba instructor.
