PIP, FREDDY
Tiny Ones Transport Service (T.O.T.S.) is a new Disney Junior original that is geared towards the younger kids that focuses on the fun adventures of Pip and Freddy as they transfer baby animals from a nursery to their forever families.
T.O.T.S. – Disney Junior has greenlit “T.O.T.S.,” a heartfelt animated comedy for kids age 2-7, about the hilarious adventures of best friends Pip and Freddy, a tenacious penguin and a kind-hearted flamingo, who are the only non-stork delivery birds in-training at Tiny Ones Transport Service (T.O.T.S.). As new members of the esteemed team, these junior flyers must take tender care in transferring baby animals – kittens, cubs, calves, bunnies, puppies and joeys among them – from the nursery to their forever families around the globe. Together, they will learn how to nurture and care for the babies and use creative thinking and problem solving to model for young viewers that there isn’t just one way to achieve a goal.
Disney must have a things for penguins lately as Muppet Babies brought in a new character that was a penguin, Summer, and now we have Pip as the star in this show. This is going to be an interesting show because some parents do not like to “teach” the idea of a stork bringing babies so we have to see how this all shakes out. The good part it is animal based characters so maybe that will help with the issue that some parents may have. The show may also get your children asking where do babies really come from much sooner than you may expect so be prepared. We are not so sure how this will be received so we will have to stay tuned.
Tiny Ones Transport Service (T.O.T.S.) looks like it may be a hit for the younger demographic and we believe that it will also fit perfectly with a toy line based around the show. The fact that there will be so many baby animals it seems like it would be a perfect fit to the blind pack smaller collectible in the toy arena that we currently see in the toy aisle. When you introduce cute character and a solid toy line you will usually find a hit show, so while some parents may call it a miss, we think it will do well as Disney does a good job in making sure their shows are well received.
We look forward to learning more about T.O.T.S. and stay tuned to BSCKids for any news about the show.
